OBITUARY

Mary Jo Atomanczyk, 71, passed away Wednesday, December 22, 2004, at St. Catherine's Center in Waco.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Louis Catholic Church with Father David Liebham as the celebrant. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Sunday at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque, followed by a rosary service at 7 p.m. led by Father Patrick Ebner. A memorial video of her life will be shown during the visitation.
May Jo was born January 9, 1933 in Burlington to Henry and Hattie (Olbrich) Helpert, and graduated from Rosebud High School. She married Leon Atomanczyk in 1957. She retired from Hancock Fabrics in 1998.
Mary Jo was a faithful member of St. Louis Catholic Church where she participated in St. Veronica's Circle. She was active with the Harrison Senior Citizens Center. Mary Jo was a lovely, gracious lady, and a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon, in 2003; her parents; sister, Elizabeth Kubica; and brothers, Henry and Rudy Helpert.
She is survived by her daughters, Dianna Howle and husband, Bill of Waco; Patricia White and husband, Steve of New Braunfels, and Cynthia Ibe and husband, John of Flower Mound; granddaughters, Lynne Howle of Waco, Kaylee White of New Braunfels, and Madison Ibe of Flower Mound; brothers, Raymond Helpert of Baytown, Leo Helpert of Burlington, and Fritz Helpert of Westphalia; sisters, Margie Knapek and Elsie Stalker, of California, and Julia Kocher of Waco.
