Mary Lou Baker, 88, passed away Wednesday in a Waco nursing home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Oakwood Cemetery with Rev. Mark Wible officiating. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Oakcrest Funeral Home.
She was born in Van Zandt County. She worked as a PBX operator at the telephone company and later at Hillcrest Hospital until retirement in 1980.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Samantha Blalock; and a son, Jimmy Ray Baker.
She is survived by her sister, Edna James of Waco, and several nieces and nephews.
