Mary Dolezal

Mary Elizabeth Dolezal, 85, passed away on Friday, January 22, 2016, at her home in Ennis. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at OakCrest Funeral Home with Rev. Curtis Holland officiating.

Visitation will be from 5 – 7 p.m., Tuesday at Oakcrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd.

Mary was born March 17, 1930, in Waco TX, to Arthur and Connie Pearson, and she lived in Waco for 78 years. She married Anton J (Tony) Dolezal on January 4, 1947; they were married for 60 years.
Mary worked at Sears Department Store for 30 years, starting as a clerk in the candy department and becoming a division manager before retiring. After that, she worked at Cox’s Department Store for several years.

She enjoyed cooking, canning and caring for her family. She especially liked watching movies with legendary film stars.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; a brother; and a sister.

She is survived by her sons, Alan Dolezal and wife, Pam, of Lake Limestone; Larry Dolezal and wife, Brenda, of Waco; and Gary Dolezal of Ennis; daughter, Janice Moreland and husband, Mike, of Ennis; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
