OBITUARY

Mary E. Kekic, 72, of China Spring, passed away Saturday, December 4, 2004, in a peaceful sleep after a hard-fought struggle with leukemia.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 8, at the OakCrest Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joel Boesche officiating.
Burial will be in China Spring Cemetery.
Visitation with her family will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd. A memorial video of her life will be shown during the visitation.
Mary was born in Portsmouth, Ohio, on June 11, 1932. She was an avid fan of the Cleveland Indians and Cleveland Browns. She enjoyed bingo and bus trips to Bossier City, La., with her family and friends.
She was a volunteer at the Sul Ross Senior Citizen Center, a member of the VFW, and a substitute teacher for the China Spring ISD. She attended St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
Mary is survived by her husband of 48 years, Gene "Pops" Kekic; sons, Norman Kekic of Parma, Ohio, Bill Baum and wife, Annie of Berea, Ohio; daughters, Deborah Kekic of Dover, Ohio, Sharon Conry and husband, Tom of China Spring; grandchildren, Brandy Mahovy and husband, Chris of Austin, Kelly Conry and Katie Conry, both of Houston, David Conry and wife, Candice of Flower Mound, Carrie Glending and husband, Michael of Northbook, Ohio, Jeff Kekic and Mandy of Brunswick, Ohio, Norman Kekic, Jr. and wife, Allison of Brunswick, Ohio, Jennifer Cogan and husband, David, of Wesley Chapel, Florida, Allison and Charley Woodward of Lakewood, Ohio, Aimee Baum of Berea, Ohio, and numerous grandchildren.
