Mary Lokey
Marguerite Griffin Lokey, 91, of Waco and formerly of Amarillo, died Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center.
The youngest of 10 children, she was born February 10, 1917 in Tiptonville, TN to Richard Watson Griffin, M.D. and Marguerite Finch Griffin.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Early Barton Lokey, M.D., an infant son and her siblings.
Marguerite is survived by her four daughters; Brenda Lokey Kirkpatrick of Waco, Marguerite Griffin Lokey of Richardson, Ann Lokey Keith of Fairfax, VA and Catherine Elizabeth Lokey of Amarillo; six grandchildren; sister-in-law, Mary Lokey McCollum and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services in Amarillo will be private. OakCrest Funeral Home and Schooler Funeral Home in Amarillo are in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, friends may make memorial gifts to the Polk Street United Methodist Church of Amarillo TV Ministry or to one's favorite charity.
