Mary Lopez
Mrs. Mary O. Lopez, 68, of Waco, passed away Monday, May 4, 2009 at her residence.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Friday, May 8, at St. Francis Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.
The Holy Rosary will be recited 7 p.m. Thursday, May 7, at OakCrest Funeral Home led by Dr. Jim Moshinskie, followed by visitation with her family.
Mary was born July 26, 1940 in Rosebud. She was raised in Bremond before moving to Waco, where she worked many years at American Amicable and then later retired from EMSI.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra; brother, Henry Fuentes; and her parents, Enrique and Carmen Fuentes.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Alexander Lopez; sister, Carmen Benavides and husband, Joe; brother, David Fuentes and wife, Patty; son, Chris Lopez; daughter, Sheryl Gatlin; and grandchildren, Brandon and Kristen Lopez and Amanda, Austin, Aaron and Alivia Gatlin.
The family wishes to express their appreciation to Hillcrest Hospice Home Care, Sacred Heart and St. Francis Church Organizations, and OakCrest Funeral Home.
