Mary Helen Rivera

Mary Helen Delao Rivera, 66, of Waco, passed away Sunday, June 9, 2013, surrounded by her loving family. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at OakCrest Funeral Home with burial at Oakwood Cemetery. A prayer service will be held 7 p.m. Friday at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Boulevard. Mr. Charles Rodriguez and Mr. Tony Torres will officiate at the services.
Mary Helen was born September 26, 1946 to Saturino and Dominga Delao in Waco. She was employed by Midway ISD where she worked faithfully 26 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Rachel Rivera; two brothers, Lorenzo and Leon Nevarez and Johnny Delao; and sister, Betty Delao.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Cleo Rivera; daughters, Cynthia, Eva, and Michell Delao; sons, Cliff, Adam, and Joe Rivera; and grandsons who she raised, Solo and Chris Rivera and Andrew Ochoa; brothers, George Nevarez and Domingo Delao; sisters, Victoria Smith and Delores Delao; 17 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Vivian Garza.
Pallbearers will be Orlando Rivera, Matthew Rivera, Andrew Ochoa, Lil Anthony Rivera Jr., Fabian Rivera, Tony Rivera, and Joe Gonzales.
The family thanks Providence Hospice and Hospital and Greenway Kidney Center for taking care of our mother.
