Maureen Jeri Garman
August 22, 1941 - August 18, 2011

Maureen Jeri Garman, 69, of Lorena, died in a tragic fire in her home on August 18, 2011. Services will be 9 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 1, at OakCrest Funeral Home with Rev. Vernon Gatlin officiating. Burial will be in Rosemound Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 - 7 p.m. Wednesday at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Boulevard.

Jeri was born August 22, 1941 to Paul and Vivian Mangold in Springfield, Illinois. She was married November 25, 1961 to Ronald Garman in Springfield, Illinois. Ron and Jeri moved to Waco in 1976. Ron passed away April 15, 2002. She was a homemaker and loving wife and mother. She served on the Board of Directors at Rosemound Cemetary. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her closest friends.

Jeri was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Garman, as well as, her father and mother, Paul and Vivian Mangold. She is joined in Heaven by her loving pets.

Jeri is survived by her two sons and their wives, Christopher and Stephanie Garman of Waco, and Kevin and Kim Garman of Lorena. She is also survived by her eight grandchildren: Zoe', Sophia, Charis, Christo, Anissa, Melina, Kendall and Kyle.

Jeri's families would like to extend their deepest gratitude to all of their friends and family for their constant support and prayers during the two weeks it took to bring her body back home to her final resting place.

The families would also like to thank the congregation of Lorena United Methodist Church and to the countless people that reached out to us during this difficult time.
