Max Chapman

Loyd Maxwell Chapman, Jr., age 69, of Waco, died Saturday, May 14, 2011. A memorial service will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 17 at OakCrest Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dorisanne Cooper and Rev. Ron Durham officiating. Graveside services will be 3:30 p.m. at Hillcrest Cemetery in Marlin. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, May 16 at the funeral home.
Max was born September 5, 1941 in Hattiesburg, MS to Rev. Loyd Maxwell, Sr and Dixie L. Brown Chapman. He moved to Texas at an early age. After living in several locations, he and his family settled in Marlin. Max graduated from Marlin High in 1959 and Baylor University in 1963. He was a member of American Institute of CPA's, Texas Society of CPA's, Central Texas Society of CPA's, National ESOP Association, Waco Lions Club and various boards of charitable organizations.
Max was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda; daughters, Jessica Chapman of Waco and Andrea Moran and husband, Tom of Austin; son, Maxwell Chapman and wife, Maggie of Waco; stepson, Darren Phillips of Cedar Creek; stepdaughter, Coby Jen Phillips of Austin; granddaughters, Belle and Tori Moran of Austin; step granddaughter, Tyler Nicole Phillips of Pflugerville; sister, Jeanette Smith and husband, Howell of Winston-Salem; NC; niece, Susan Dotson-Smith and husband, Matt and their daughters, Serena and Maya of Weaverville, NC and nephew, Hilton Smith and wife, Cindy of Pacific Palisades, CA.
