Maxine Ramsey, 77, of Waco, passed away Wednesday, September 3, 2014. Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Mexia City Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Friday at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Boulevard.
Maxine was born in Groesbeck to Fred and Reba (Pelton) Petty. She worked many years for the J.C. Penney Catalog Store in Waco, Mexia, and Corsicana. She married Henry Cecil Ramsey on September 5, 1967.
She was preceded in death by her husband; two sons, Charles and Don Ramsey; and a grandson, Derek.
She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Haddix of Waco; son, Jerry Ramsey of Waco; granddaughter, Kristi Winegeart; seven grandsons, Jonathan Haddix, Donnie Kemp, Kurt Haddix, Christopher and J.D. Ramsey, Jonathan McPherson, and Michael Haddix.
