Melvin Huber

Melvin Earl Huber, 80 of Eddy passed away Friday, October 15, 2004 at a local hospital.

Services are 2pm Monday at OakCrest Funeral Home Chapel with close family friend for over twenty years, Mike East officiating, burial to follow in Eddy Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 6pm to 8pm at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd.

Melvin was born on June 22, 1924 in Eddy to Harmon and Emma (Schronk) Huber. He was united in marriage to Geraldine Meyers in 1975. Melvin was a supervisor for LCRA of Austin. He was employed with them for 38 years.

He survived by his wife Geraldine of Eddy; sons, Harvey Huber and wife Melissa of Bartlett and Don Cherry of Eddy; daughters, Reva Bannon and husband Bill of Liberty Hill, Trudy Hyman and husband Bob of Austin, Dora Jowers and husband Rick of Liberty Hill, Evelyn O'Conner and husband Dean of Dale and Naomi Weidner and husband Phillip of Austin; brothers, Raymond Huber and wife Lillian of Eddy, Truman Huber of Neiderwald and Henry Huber of Temple; sisters, Wanda Lee Hocker and Noma Hocker of Waco; eighteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
