Michael Dohn Reesing, aged 51, of Waco, died Monday, September 2, 2002, at his residence. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 5, 2002, at the Trinity Lutheran Church, 6125 Bosque Blvd., with the Rev. Donald L. Olson, Jr., pastor, officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, September 4, 2002, at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd.
Mr. Reesing was born July 26, 1951, in Hamilton, Texas, to Walter and Frances Wiede Reesing. He graduated from Waco Richfield High School and attended North Texas State University and McLennan Community College. He was employed for over 26 years with the State of Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts. He was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Waco, serving as an Elder for many years.
Survivors include his wife, Vicki; daughters, Nikki Skeen and her husband Billy of Waco, Cheryl and Katrina Cook; his mother, Mrs. Frances Wiede Reesing of Waco; brother, Steve Reesing and his wife Debi of Austin, nephews, Kyle and Todd Reesing and niece, Megan Reesing of Austin. He was preceded in death by his brother, Dennis Reesing, and father, Walter Reesing.
He was a loving husband to Vicki since 1991 and a devoted father to three daughters. He will be missed by many friends and other family members.
Pallbearers will be Danny Eppers, Ken Perry, Allen Aars, Tommy Stewart, Kyle Reesing, and Todd Reesing. Honorary pallbearers will be Rick Woodward, Mike Fanning, Cecil Padgett, Bob Deiterman, Ben Gorham, Ken Abood, Steve Short, James Herring, Lynn Janek, Dan Monagan, Gary Daily, and Dan Ryan.
