Mike was born July 10, 1960 in Waco to Alvin and Shirley (Miller) Arnold. He graduated from LaVega High School Class of 1979. For 10 years, he lived in Irving where he worked for TP&L. He returned to Waco and operated a Snap On franchise until he opened his own successful business, Outlaw Tools, seven years ago.

Mike had an outgoing, friendly personality with a bright smile, and he made friends quickly anywhere he went. He will be greatly missed by his family, and his many friends throughout Central Texas.

Mike was well-known as a semi-pro Bass Fisherman for over 25 years. He won numerous individual and team tournaments and many Big Bass awards. Mike was always a dominant factor on any Texas lake. He was named Angler of the Year by many local Bass Clubs.

Mike was signed up for the South 40 Shootout Bass Tournament Saturday with his longtime friend, Johnny Matthews, and Mike's brother Jeff replaced him on the team in honor of his brother.

Mike also loved softball and was still playing on a team, and coaching and sponsoring teams including his Outlaws team during the current season. He considered 13 his lucky number, and always wore the number 13 on his jersey.

He was preceded in death by his father on April 21, 2009.

Mike is survived by his: wife, Brenda; step-son, Tanner Wagner of China Spring; mother, Shirley Arnold of Lewisville; brother, Jeff Arnold, and wife, Stephanie of Lewisville; and two nieces, Mackenzie Arnold and Zoe Arnold.
