Mildred Inez Baker, 92, passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2015. Services are private as requested by family.
Mildred Inez Baker was born near Kosse, Limestone Co, Texas on November 2, 1922 to Roy Lee Harper and Sidney Laverne Kindred Harper. She graduated from Marline High School in 1938 and attended Texas Women's University in Denton. After graduation, she taught school at the McClanahan School for two years. She was employed at Limestone Electric Co-op in 1946 and reited in 1962. She was the Librarian at the Nancy Nail Memorial Library in Mart for fifteen years. She married Orville Lee Baker in 1961 and they were married 40 years when he passed away in 2001. Inez was a long time member of the First Baptist Church of Mart.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her sister, Wanda Criswell; brother, Cecil Harper; and son-in-law, Kenneth Wren.
She is survived by son, Duane L. "Buddy" Baker and wife, Judy of Mart; daughter, Patsy Wren of Teague; five grandchildren, Dana Baker, Belinda Summers and husband, Royce, David Baker and wife Stephanie, Mitchell Wren, and Melissa Brisendine; 9 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great granchildren.
