Mildred Helen Clanton, 87, of Hewitt, went to be with her beloved husband Preston on Friday, May 5, 2006.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Waco Memorial Park with Wendell Seitzler officiating.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque (right across the street from the Heart of Texas Fairgrounds).
Helen was born in Waco to George and Clara Johnston. She attended Waco schools.
She married Preston Clanton on May 27, 1937, and they were married for 58 years.
She enjoyed a successful career in sales at Cinderalla for 15 years.
She especially enjoyed working in her garden and breeding and raising her precious bulldogs.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brother, George Jr.; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-laws, Thomas and Geraldine and Doyle and Jewell Clanton.

Daughter, Patsy and husband Jerry Crow
Granddaughter, Lis and husband Corby Simpson
Great-granddaughter (the joy of her life) Kylie Ann, all of Speegleville
Nieces, Doyalene Varley of Regan, Wy., Kay Wilson of Rockdale, Sharon Maxwell of Lorena,
and many great nieces and nephews.
She will be greatly missed.
