Mildred Eichelberger

Mildred Marbeth Eichelberger, 91, of Waco, passed away Thursday morning, March 9, 2006 at a Waco nursing center.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 11, at the Waco Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with the Rev. Jim Gray officiating.
Mrs. Eichelberger was born June 26, 1914 in McLennan County to Noah C. and Madoline (Brinegar) Glaze. She married Roland D. Eichelberger in 1936 in Waco.
She taught Sunday School at Highland Baptist Church for 20 years, and more recently joined the First Baptist Church of Woodway. She was a devoted homemaker who enjoyed cooking and taking care of her family. Her family spent many happy hours around the table enjoying her cooking especially the vegetables she grew in her wonderful gardens.
She was an avid needleworker and quilter, and liked to make things for her grandchildren and home. She really cherished spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by her son, Roland E. Eichelberger and wife, Marilyn of Waco; three granddaughters, Kristen Lane and husband, Scott of San Antonio, Gretchen Gibson and husband, Todd of Waco, and Amber Patrick and husband, Kyle of Mansfield; six great-grandchildren, Mary Beth and Marshall Lane, Hope and Kate Gibson, and Paige and Keys Patrick; and a sister, Mary Golden and husband, O.C. of Waco.
The family especially thanks Dr. Artie Sudan for his many years of excellent care given to Mrs. Eichelberger.
