Mircea Tomegea, 77, of Waco passed away Saturday after a long battle with prostate cancer.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 5, 2008 at OakCrest Funeral Home followed by burial at Oakwood Cemetery. Prayer service will be 7 p.m. Monday, August 4, at OakCrest Funeral Home, followed by visitation with the family.
Mr. Tomegea was born in Pascani, Romania to Gheorghe and Natalia Soldar Tomegea. He married Livia Tofanel January 16, 1956; he worked as a police officer in Romania and later he retired from Plantation Foods in Waco, TX.
Mr. Tomegea is survived by his wife Livia; daughter Cristina Onecic and her husband Corneliu of Little Rock, Ark.; grandsons Andrew Onecic and his wife Diana of Kent, Wash; Edward Onecic and his wife Niki of Houston, TX; granddaughters Otilia Peret and her husband Gabriel of Houston, TX, Mara Onecic and Andra Onecic of Little Rock, Ark.
