Milissa Misty DeLeon was born March 17, 1977 and passed away January 1, 2024.
She grew up in Bruceville-Eddy, Texas and enjoyed screaming her lungs out at concerts, taking care of her plants—when she could keep them alive, and watching the Houston Astros play. She loved the Astros almost as much as she hated the Yankees. Milissa loved spending time with her fur babies Mookie, Tiger, Chico Pepe Manuel Deleon III, and Delilah. She also loved babysitting all of the family babies. Among spending time with the dogs and children, she absolutely adored and loved her two beautiful daughters.
What made Misty most unique was her ability to always be ready to stand up for family and the ones she loved no matter the circumstance. But what made her truly special to everyone in her life, was her outgoing personality and nonjudgmental persona. She was always the life of the party and a great friend to go to in a time of need. These are just some of the many reasons why we will miss her so very much.
She was preceded in death by James Paine and is survived by Willie Lopez; daughters, Alyssa Castillo and husband, Nathaniel, Arianna DeLeon and fiancé, Juan Escudero, and Mandy Lopez; mother, Oralia Moreno; siblings, Debra Selio, Gloria DeLeon, Marian DeLeon-Smith, Monica Haudek, Laurinda Paine, Trish Wright, Jason DeLeon, Candy Ford, and Crystal Ross; and special nephew, Jakob Gutierrez.
Pallbearers are Robert DeLeon, Tre Selio, Michael Selio, Jakob Gutierrez, Juan Escudero, and Nathaniel Castillo.
