Mollie Monetta Talak, 73, of Waco, passed away Sunday, Nov. 2, 2003, in a Temple hospital. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m., Tuesday, at Chapel Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at OakCrest Funeral Home.
She was born April 1, 1930 in Oglesby to Alford and Nannie (Small) Daniell. She graduated from Moody High School and San Angelo Junior College. She worked as an accountant at the HOT Council of Governments, and was office manager at Jones Industries from 1975 to her retirement in 1998. She was talented at making costumes for dolls, especially Barbie wedding dresses. She loved garage sales, and listening to the Three Tenors and jazz.
She is survived by daughter, Melody Farrar of Waco; sister, Clara Palmer of Waco; great aunts, Lillie Hendrick, Mae Angel and Audrey Bryant; cousin, Terry Thomas and wife Phyllis of China Spring; nieces, Kay Williams and husband Tom of Greenville, and Nancy Eakin of West Virginia; and nephews, Mike Eakin of Greenville and William Eakin Jr. and wife Debbie of Hewitt. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Dorothy B. Eakin.
