OBITUARY

Nancy Jean Bankhead, 58, of Goodrich, MI., died Friday, April 1, 2005, at her home. Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Faith Lutheran Church in Goodrich.
Graveside services will be Saturday, April 9, in Post Oak Cemetery in Oglesby, at 2 p.m.
She was born September 26, 1946, in Detroit, MI. She was a great advocate for literacy, having served on and been president of various reading association boards, as well as working with the State of Michigan on many literacy issues. She was an active member of Faith Lutheran Church and many Bible study groups. She was a high school teacher in Detroit Public Schools for 33 years, retiring in 2002.
Surviving are her husband, Thomas; children, Michael Bankhead and wife, Christie, of Fishers, Ind, and Jayne Rohlfing and husband, Mark, of Muncie, Ind.; two grandchildren, Mackenzie Bankhead and Thomas Rohlfing; brothers, John Minor and wife, Betty, of Peoria, Ill.,, and Lorne Minor and wife, Sue, of Sterling Heights; sister, Mary Minor of Phoenix, Arizona, and many nieces, nephews, in-laws-and extended family.
