Nancy Smith

Nancy Smith, 75, of Woodway, died Friday, July 16, 2010 at her residence. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at Central Presbyterian Church with Rev. Charles Packard officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation with the family will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd.

Nancy was born August 18, 1934 in Lubbock to Barton Atkinson and LaVyrne Cooksey. She married Jimmy Smith June 4, 1954 in Austin. She volunteered for Meals on Wheels. Nancy was a member of Central Presbyterian Church for over 65 years where she served as a Deacon and Elder.

Nancy is survived by her husband, Jimmy Smith of Woodway; daughters, Janice Collier and husband, Buddy of Waco and Libby Slay and husband, Kevin of McKinney; son, Jim B. Smith and wife, Julie of Waco; grandchildren, Lee Collier, Charlie Collier, Natalie Collier, Weston Slay and Nick Slay; and 2 great grandchildren, Camryn Collier and Luke Collier.

Pallbearers will be Lee Collier, Charlie Collier, Weston Slay, Nick Slay, Kevin Slay and Buddy Collier.
