Nannie Dolezal

Nannie Ruth Dolezal, 90, of Waco, passed away Monday, September 19, 2011, at her home.

Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, at the Waco Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with Rev. Barry Camp officiating. Visitation will be 5 - 7 p.m., Friday, Sept. 23, at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Boulevard.

Ruth was born June 9, 1921 in Moody, TX to D.H. and Goldie (Reed) Miller. She married Jerry R. Dolezal, Sr., on March 28, 1939. She retired from CertainTeed Manufacturing.

A loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Ruth was a member of Grace Temple Baptist Church for many years. She enjoyed camping in their RV and sitting around the campfire, visiting with her friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Adron Miller, and her husband, Jerry R. Dolezal, Sr.

Ruth is survived by her son, Jerry R. Dolezal, Jr., and wife, Angela, of Bullard; daughter, Joyce Maresh, and husband Bill, of Woodway; four grandchildren, Lisa Monroe and husband, David, Tim Sherry, Micha Zammit and husband, Ken, and Chad Dolezal and wife, Kristina; her step-granddaughters, Autumn Watson, Michael Ann Miller and husband Mark and Missi Maresh; great-grandchildren, Corban and Callan Monroe, Lauren and Austin Zammit, Jillian and Mason Dolezal; and step-great-grandchildren, Blake and Brooke Miller, and Hayden Watson. Also, loving companion, Tilly (her poodle).

The family wishes to express special thanks to Ruth's caring cousin, Geneva Ryter, kind neighbor, Laura Childres and her wonderful friend and housekeeper, Rosa Garcia.
