Nell Medlin, 94, of Lorena, passed away on Saturday, May 28, 2005, at her home surrounded by her family.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 31, 2005, at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque, with Alan Ritchie officiating. Burial will be at Waco Memorial Park.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Nell was born on May 17, 1911 in Lampasas County to William and Maggie (Alford) Campbell. She was an avid gardener who also loved animals. She loved telling jokes and writing poems to her family and friends. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Newt; son, Deral; grandson, Jonathan; and four sisters and two brothers.
She is survived by her son, Purdis Medlin and wife, Bobbie of Lorena; granddaughters, Janet Sheffield and husband, Jim of Lorena, Vonna Muesse of Lorena, Linda Dragonetti of Lenox, Mass.; grandson, Jimmy Medlin of St. James, N.Y.; great grandchildren, Julie Sheffield, Matt Sheffield, Jason Muesse, Jason Dragonetti, Ashley Ritter and husband, Matthew, and Danielle Dragonetti; great-great-grandson, Riley Ritter, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Pallbearers will be Jim Sheffield, Jason Muesse, Matthew Ritter, Jack Bone, Alton Bridger, and Matthew Sheffield.
