Nella June Bruce, 79, of Waco, passed away Sunday, December 16, 2012. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 19 at OakCrest Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Prairie Grove Cemetery. Visitation with her family will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd.
Nella was born June 30, 1933. She was a member of Southside Church of Christ. She married J. D. Bruce in Mexia on October 4, 1948.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her son, Ronnie Bruce; and one sister, Sue Driver.
Nella is survived by her daughter, Connie Fuller and husband, Bob of Waco; sons, Donnie Bruce and wife, Melinda of Crawford, Johnny Bruce and wife, Pam of The Woodlands and Bill Bruce of Alice; daughter-in-law, Nancy Bruce of Crawford; grandchildren, Amy, Amanda, Adam, Ashley, Josh, Daniel, Samantha, Kayla, Lauren, Dustin, Devin and Danielle; great grandchildren, Anthony, Hamilton, Landry, Kade, Emersyn, Harper, Cayden, Brixton, Tanner and Johnathan. She is also survived by her special aunt and uncle, Tom and Dorothy Carlton.
Pallbearers will be Bill Bruce, Dustin Bruce, Devin Bruce, Josh Bruce, Daniel Bruce and Adam Fuller.
The family wishes to express their appreciation to the medical staff at Waco West Kidney Center and to the staff of Bluebonnet Home Healthcare and Hospice for their excellent care of Nella.
