Nettie was born August 9, 1918 in Athens, TX to Henry and Cordelia Farmer McCoy. She began working at Owens-Illinois Glass Co. in 1953, made many lifelong friends, and retired in 1980 after 27 years of service. Nettie worked hard and sacrificed a lot for her family.
She was so proud of them and loved them all. She was a matter-of-fact type of woman with plenty to say and generated a lot of laughter over the years. She filled her life with many things but bingo was her favorite, probably because she won ALL the time. She was very lucky but very generous, and will be missed by all who loved her.
She is preceded in death by parents, Henry and Cordelia McCoy; brothers, Frank, George, Wylie, Leaman, and Jessie McCoy, and sisters, Willie Watson and Mae Cline.
She is survived by sons, Allen Yarbrough and Danny Yarbrough and wife, Elaine; granddaughters, Kristy Yarbrough Downs and husband, Robert and Kelly Yarbrough Brunner and husband Jacob; grandsons, Billy Yarbrough and wife, Kristina, Cody Jaster and wife, Candace, and, Casey Yarbrough; great granddaughter, Brynn Downs; great grandsons, Jackson Brunner, and Taylor and Callan Jaster.
Pallbearers will be Jacob Brunner, Robert Downs, Cody Jaster, Alvin Packard, Billy Yarbrough, and Casey Yarbrough.
A special thank you goes to St. Catherine's Center and Providence Hospice for the extraordinary care Nettie received to make her last days as comfortable as possible.
The family also thanks Chaplain Craig Klempnauer of Southern Care Hospice for officiating the service.
