Nita Walpole

Nita Jewel Walpole, 82, passed away Thursday, July 14, 2016 in Round Rock, Texas. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 19 at 11 a.m. at OakCrest Funeral Home, with visitation to begin one hour prior to the service.

Nita was born August 27, 1933 in Riesel, Texas to Amy Jane (Brink) and James Colbert Lasseter. She was preceded in death by her parents, as well as her daughter, Darlene Kay Rogers, and her siblings, Weldon Lasseter, Jimmy Lasseter, Cleo Robert, Carol White, Evelyn Simpson, and Dorothy Denney.

She is survived by her daughter, Diana Eckert; son, William Dale Rogers; granddaughter, Melody Lasseter; great granddaughter, Jazmyn Stroud; sisters, Ruthie Lillard, Polly Hilton, Patsy Childress, Myrna Dyer, Joan Grizzell, Audrey Martin, and Faye Lasseter; and brothers, Roy, Jerry, Gene, Clifford and Arthur Lasseter.
