Odessa German, 79, of Gholson, passed away Sunday. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Gholson Cemetery with Rev. Lawrence Kirkpatrick officiating. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at OakCrest Funeral Home.
Odessa was born in Gholson to William and Maggie Stubblefield. She married Johnnie Washington German on June 5, 1942. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by five children, Dorothy Noland and husband, Bobbie of Crawford, Everett German of Waco, Arnold German and wife, Christine of California, Thomas German and wife, Jeanie of Hewitt, Eve Goodwin and husband, Yandall of Robinson, and Elizabeth German of Waco; brothers, James Stubblefield and wife, E of Lufkin, Wilborne Stubblefield and wife, Billie of Athens, and Fed Stubblefield and wife, Niecie of Denton; sister, Claire McDonald and husband, Chammie of North Carolina.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Johnnie; and sons, R.L. and Oral Timothy German.
The family thanks Hillcrest Hospice and the Secure Unit Staff of Crestview Nursing Facility. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
