Olivia Delgado

Olivia Romero Delgado was born February 12, 1932 in Elm Mott, Texas to Flavio and Maria Romero; raised in the Sand-town neighborhood in the Waco, TX area. Olivia 91 years of age passed away Wednesday, April 19, 2023, surrounded by her loved ones whom she held close to her heart.

Funeral Services: April 24, 2023, at 11:30 am at OakCrest Funeral Home, followed by interment at Oakwood Cemetery.

On December 26th, 1969, in Monterrey, Mexico, Olivia was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

Olivia was a respected woman known for many things. One in particular, was her love for her family. Including, but not limited to, her sense of humor, her love of Mexican culture, and her love of nature. She is well known to have had countless plants and a wide variety of animals throughout her lifetime.

For around an estimated 20 years, she spent her time working in the seamstress industry. In the year 1949, she gave birth to her firstborn; from that point on she would begin to build a family of 6 daughters and 4 sons, which would amount to raising 10 children in total, (not to mention succeeding descendants).

Although her years were many, years filled with insurmountable events and occurrences, if only one thing be known about Olivia, may it be this:
—her undying love for Jehovah God, the Creator of the Universe.
In accordance with this, it is to note, and to no surprise, that during the final years of her long-lived life, she had yet to forget what she considered important work; the preaching work (Mathew 28:19,20).

She was a fearless, courageous woman. She was even more fearless and more courageous in sharing her faith with others. Sharing the hope that she held to those willing to listen. More recently, doctors, nurses, and medical staff. She will most certainly not be forgotten.

She will be greatly missed by so many. However, let there be no doubt that we will see her again (John 5:28,29).

“For if we live, we live to Jehovah, and if we die, we die to Jehovah. So, both if we live and if we die, we belong to Jehovah.”
-Romans 14:8
