Ollie Welch

Ollie B. Welch, 90, of Waco, went to her heavenly home Friday, November 26, 2010. Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. Monday, November 29, 2010 at OakCrest Funeral Home with Mark Wible officiating. Burial will follow at Rosemound Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, November 28, at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd.

Mrs. Welch was born June 15, 1920 in Mart to Maggie and John Scott and the youngest of six children. She was married to the love of her life, Felix for 18 years until his untimely death at the age of 46. She reared four children on her own while working in retail for over 60 years where many of her customers became life long friends. She trusted in the Lord and knew she would soon be with her loving parents, her husband and son. She was an active member of Highland Baptist Church for over 55 years.

She is survived by her three children. Her sons, David Welch and wife, Sandy of Dallas and Jerry Welch of Waco, her daughter, Linda Benner and husband, Jack of Tyler; seven grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. Her life was filled with her loving family and that was returned by them all.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Welch, David Gist, Duncan Welch, Trey Duhon, Larry McMurray and Marvin Trice.
