Ona Maudine Mainord, 99, of Waco, passed away Tuesday, November 25, 2014. Private graveside services will be held at Oakwood Cemetery, Waco, Texas.
Maudline was born October 22, 1915 in Thornton, Texas to John Luther Martin and Jessie Jones Martin. Maudine was a telephone operator and supervisor for Southwestern Bell for many years and a longtime member of Western Heights Baptist Church. She and her beloved husband of 55 years, George Ira, loved to travel. Every year they took a 2-3 week trip by car, visiting most of the states in the U.S. Many interesting photos survived.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ira; four brothers, Otto, Clyde, J.L. and Luther Martin and two sisters, Salley Estelle and Dona Gaeke.
She is survived by five nieces, Noogie Clark, Martha Cox, Clydene Sherwood, Majane Martin and Jessie Lou Wiggins, and three nephews, David Martin, John Martin and Steve Martin.
