Pamala Lee Shaffer, 52, united with our Lord and Savior on early Sunday morning, July 3, 2005, after a short courageous battle with cancer.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque.
Pamala was the daughter of the late Merle S. Barnhill and Millicent E. Burns, and was born in Omaha, Nebraska, on Offitt Air Force Base on June 16, 1953.
Her greatest joy was being a mother, sister, and grandmother. She was a free spirit and always found it easy to express herself. She took pride in being an American and an advocate for women, children, and seniors.
Survivors include her daughter, Brandi S. Hudson of Waco, and her children, Jackie and Logan Hudson; a sister, Karen Oswald and her husband, Kevin of Florida, and their children, Thomas and Nicole; and brothers, Sid Morris, Ricky Newlind, and Scotty Newlind.
