Pamela Richman Tripp, 82, formerly of Okemos, MI died on March 28, 2025 in Dallas, TX.
Born July 20, 1942 in Lansing, MI, Pamela graduated from Sexton High School and received her Bachelor degree at Michigan State University. Pamela was one of the first women to obtain a Juris Doctor from Wayne State University and practiced law for over 40 years. After residing and working in New York City for several years, Pamela returned to mid-Michigan and opened her private law practice focused on family and bankruptcy law until her retirement in 2012. She was a passionate lawyer and was a member of the State Bar of Michigan for over 50 years. After her retirement, she resided in Texas.
Pamela was devoted to service. She was recognized by the Ingham County Bar Association with the Camille S. Abood Distinguished Volunteer Award in 2005, for her pro-bono work and advocacy for children. In addition, Pamela was a former President of Kiwanis of Okemos, an avid bridge player and a lifelong Spartan fan.
She is preceded in death by her sister, Patricia Garlock; father, Gordon W. Richman; and mother, Maurice Richman.
She is survived by her son, John (Molly) Tripp of Easley, SC; daughter, Alexandra (Meaghan) Hart of Dallas, TX; and her 10 grandchildren, Cayley (Cullen) Hauser, Joshua Tripp, Zoe (Kyle) Lambert, Jonathan Tripp, Winston Tripp, Jackson Tripp, Normandy Tripp, Charlie Tripp, Wesley Hart and Liam Hart.
Pamela will be interred at Deepdale Memorial Gardens in Lansing, MI at a later date.
