Pate "Igor" Spencer, 55, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Saturday, June 6, 2009. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 10, 2009 at OakCrest Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Ramiro Pena and Rev. James G. Adams officiating.
Pate was born October 26, 1953 to Roy and Sara (Fouts) Spencer in Phoenix, AZ. He married Janice Goolsbee, March 11, 1977 in Moody, TX. Pate was a member of the Christian Motorcyclists Assn and helped fathered the Waco Chapter, Riders of the Son. He was a member of Christ the King Baptist Church. Pate worked for Pharmacy Plus.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Linda Griffith, Helen Schmidt and Katherine Little; and brother, Billy Joe Spencer.
Pate is survived by his wife, Janice; daughter, Lori Bremer and fiancé, Kenny Crawford; sons, Steven Farney and wife, Danielle, Joshua Spencer, Michael Spencer and wife, Becky; sisters, Sharon York and husband, Jess, Pat Brewer, Ruth York and husband, Johnny; brother Bob Spencer; 14 grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews; and beloved pets, Bella and Bit Bit.
Memorials may be made to the Pate Spencer Memorial Fund in care of OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd. Waco, Texas 76710.
