Patricia Ladra Ramilo, 99, of Waco, passed away Wednesday, November 9, 2011 in Providence Hospital.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:15 a.m. Monday, Nov. 14, 2011 at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, Waco, with Rev. Joe L. Geleney as celebrant. Burial will be later in Chicago.
Rosary will be recited 7 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 13, at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Boulevard.
Patricia was born March 13, 1912 in the Philippines to Ruperto Ladra and Aljandra Trinidad. She married Casimilo V. Ramilo in 1930, and they moved to Chicago in 1975. She was a loving and understanding wife, mother, and grandmother.
Her family was very important to her, and she enjoyed being a devoted homemaker and caregiver to them. In Chicago she was active in the Catholic organizations including the Ladies Blue Army. She moved to Waco in 1982 and attended St. Mary's and St. Louis.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Mateo Ladra and Leon Ladra; and a sister, Felicia Paz; and her son, Napoleon Ramilo.
Survivors include her son, Dr. Jose L. Ramilo and wife, Dr. Virginia Samia, of Chicago; two daughters, Gloria R. Marton and Nelia R. Abrenica, both of Waco; daughter-in-law,
Dr. Teresita Ramilo of Indianapolis; seven grandchildren, Gisele R. Ramilo of Chicago; and her daughter, Sophia, J.J. Ramilo of Chicago and Nikki Ramilo of Chicago, Minvi Duncan and husband Steve of Dallas; and their children, Jennifer, Jordana and Jaden; Bong Abrenica and wife, Levi and their children, Andrea, Andrew, Alyssa, Adrian and Aidan; Arnel and Nenette Ramos and their daughter, Kim; and Michael Abrenica and wife, Gigi.
