Patricia Sanders

Patricia Ann "Trisha" Sanders, 46, passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, October 29, at OakCrest Funeral Home with Pastor Grant Kaul officiating. Visitation will be 5 - 7 p.m. Friday, October 28, at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Boulevard, Waco.

Trisha was born November 15, 1964 in San Antonio to Jackie and Patsy (Connally) McDonald. On July 29, 1983, Trisha married the love of her life, Kenneth Dale Sanders, in Lorena. Trisha worked for seven years at the IGA United Super in Hewitt where she loved and was loved by her customers who fondly called her Miss IGA. With her bubbling personality and a bright smile like no other, Patricia enjoyed caring for others.

Trisha, a member of Fellowship Bible Church, loved God and family unconditionally. She enjoyed her home, dogs, and chickens, even making homemade cornbread for them. She gladly served as the "official" tester for her father-in-law's bar-b-que. Her friends and family will remember her crafts and handiwork, enjoyment of shopping (and her purses), and a love of angels. Mostly, she cherished her husband and son who adored her. She will be greatly missed.

Patricia was preceded in death by her mother, Patsy Davis.

Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Dale Sanders of Hewitt; son, David Sanders of Hewitt; sister, Beverly Horn and husband, Larry of Hewitt; niece and nephew, Jessica and Brian Horn of Hewitt; aunt, Joyce Friesenhaha and husband, Gerald of New Braunsfels; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Joe and Jewell Sanders of Lorena; numerous cousins; and many friends.

The family expresses their appreciation to her loyal IGA customers, the oncology nurses at Scott & White Cancer Center, especially Kathleen, and Scott & White / Hillcrest Hospice.
