Patrick Sullivan
Patrick "Pat" Sullivan, 69, of Richmond and formerly of Seguin, passed away Tuesday, November 23, 2010. Final viewing will be 2 p.m. Monday, November 29, at OakCrest Funeral Home followed by a procession departing at 2:30 p.m. with a 3 p.m. graveside services at Holy Cross Cemetery officiated by Monsignor Mark Deering. Rosary with Deacon Greg George as celebrant will be recited at 5 p.m. with visitation until 7 p.m. Sunday, November 28, at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd.
Pat "Pappy" was born March 23, 1941 in Waco to Houston Arthur and Lillian Roselind Sullivan. He graduated from Reicher High School in 1960. He was raised by his grandmother, Katherine Bley. During most of his life, he worked as a professional photographer. Since he was an entrepreneur, it wasn't long before he started his own business in sales. Although business wasn't all of his heart; he aspired to help people. Pat served the youth as an avid umpire for Little League. He helped strangers by giving them a job, opening up his home, or taking them to area shelters. Pat married the love of his life, Nancy Rose Bailey in 1960. As many people take pride in their work, Pat took pride in surrounding himself by love and family. He was known for bringing his loved ones together.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Harry Sullivan; and his grandmother, Katherine Bley.
Pat is survived by his daughters, Patty Barker and husband, Allen, Lillian Hughes, Katherine Bostdorf and husband, Marty, Nancy Nichols and husband, Vincent, Christina Loredo and partner, Mark, Brandy Loredo and husband, Victor; his son, Patrick Sullivan, Jr.; 21 grandchildren, Bunnie, Chris, Jeffery, Karissa, Dustin, Alana, Kevin, Joseph "J.J.", Tasha, Shawn, Travis, Bahja, Celine, Dâ?TMNauzscha, Daisy, Diego, Gavino, Mialana, Jade, Kiah and Loic; four great grandchildren, Dorrian, Christon, Justin and Maxamillion.
Pallbearers will be Patrick Sullivan, Jr., Allen Barker, Gary Barker, Jeffery Dempsey, Chris Barker and Dustin Hughes. Honorary pallbearers are Kevin, Shawn, Travis, Diego, Gavino and Loic.
