Patrick Lionel Waller , 28, of Lacy-Lakeview, died Wednesday, June 18, 2008.
Services
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, June 23, at the First United Methodist Church of Waco with the Rev. Kevin Wood and the Rev. Stephen Ramsdell officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, June 22, at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd. A memorial video honoring his life will be shown during the visitation.
His Life
Patrick was born August 27, 1979, in Andrews, Texas, to Randall and Karen (Hayes) Waller, and moved to Waco at the age of 2. He started playing soccer in the Heart of Texas Soccer Association at the age of 8 and remained active in the sport for nine years with his father as his coach.
He graduated from Vanguard Preparatory School in 1998. He started his college career attending Texas A&M University at the age of 6 with his father and completed it as a graduate of Southwestern University in Georgetown in 2002.
He married Brenda Lee Quiroz on July 7, 2005, in Waco. He has been an independent trucker for the past three years.
He was a likeable, simple person who was serious about life. From his earliest years, he had a natural curiosity about the world around him and was a voracious reader always excited about learning new things. He was an artist with many creative talents. He loved the outdoors, his dog Gypsy, and working with his hands, especially on his truck and his 1977 Z-28 Camaro.
However, the most important things in his life were his wife, 3-year-old daughter Tatum, sister Jenny, his parents, whom he loved dearly, and David and Cindy Hammonds. He will be greatly missed.
Those Who Preceded Him
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Bufford Hayes; and his paternal grandparents, Chester Lionel and Voncile Waller.
Survivors
He is survived by his wife, Brenda; daughter, Tatum Elizabeth Waller; parents, Randall and Karen Waller, all of Waco; sister, Jennifer Waller of Stephenville; and maternal grandmother, Jimmie Hayes of Lubbock along with many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Memorials
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a trust fund set up for his young daughter, Tatum Elizabeth Waller, at Extraco Bank, P.O. Box 7813, Waco, TX 76714.
