Patsy Carter

Patsy Carter, 80, of Waco, passed away Thursday, January 30, 2014 at Providence Health Center. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 1, 2014 at OakCrest Funeral Home with Lester Adams officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park.

Patsy was born May 21, 1933 to Morris Edward Rappe and Rosalee Uzzel Rappe. She graduated from LaVega High School in 1951. Later that same year, she married Joe Carter on the 4th of August. Patsy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a Christian who put God and her family first. Patsy was an active member of Parklake Drive Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and one sister, Peggy Joyce Young.

Patsy is survived by her husband of 62 years, Joe of Waco; four children, JoAnn Elting and husband, Brent, Robert Lynn Carter, Raymond Edward Carter and wife, Beverly and Cindy McBurnett and husband, John; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Dorothy Jean Reed and husband, Arnold; and her brother-in-law, James Young and wife, Alice.
