Patsy Forrest, loving wife, mother, sister, and friend, went to be with our Lord and
Savior Jesus Christ on January 6, 2023. She is survived by her husband of 61
years, Larry C. Forrest, and together they created a beautiful example of faith and
love for their four children, Paul Forrest, Kathy Blakey, Nathan Forrest, and Sarah
Apple, as well as nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren, all of whom
she loved dearly.
Patsy was born in the small town of Melissa, Texas on May 24, 1943 to Jasper and
Ruth East. She has done everything from riding on tow sacks in cotton fields as a
toddler, to performing live music at Hill’s Café in Austin, to flying halfway around
the world. Patsy loved to sing and she was a wonderful cook. Thanksgiving and
Christmas were her favorite holidays because she was surrounded by her children
and grandchildren. It brought her so much joy to have all of us sing classic hymns
from memory, or listen to us break into laughter at something Paul or Nathan
said.
She will be missed for a little while and we cannot wait to see her again.
Visitation will be Wednesday, January 11 th , from 5-7 pm at Oakcrest Funeral Home
at 4520 Bosque Boulevard, Waco, TX 76710.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 12 th , at Western Heights Baptist
