Patsy Ruth Schaefer Mcdaniel

Patsy Ruth Schaefer McDaniel, 85, passed away Saturday August 20, 2022 at home.
Funeral Services will be at 10am, Thursday, August 25th at Oakcrest Funeral Home.
Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park.

Patsy was born on January 12, 1937 to Lillian and Herman Schaefer in Valley Mills, TX. As a small child, her family moved to Waco. She graduated from Waco High School in 1955. After graduation she attended 4C Secretarial School where she also worked. In 1956 she went to work at General Tire. On August 23, 1956, she married Myron McDaniel. They moved to Dallas in 1957 where Myron served in the Navy. She worked at Southern Trust and Mortgage while in Dallas. They returned to Waco in 1960 and started a family. Patsy began working and helping Myron at McDaniel Garage in 1967 and retired 40 years later. Patsy was a kind, loving, selfless devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother and friend to everyone that knew her. She was often referred to as one of the sweetest people they had ever met. She impacted so many lives in a positive way.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman & Lillian Schaefer, husband, Myron McDaniel, brother, Harold Schaefer, and sister in law, Frances Schaefer.

She is survived by her son, Mark McDaniel and wife Charlotte of Riesel, daughter, Jill Wilkerson, and husband Leroy of Scottsdale, AZ, grandsons, Weston Wilkerson, Heath McDaniel, Cameron McDaniel, granddaughters, Whitney Wilkerson, Haley Wilkerson and nieces and nephews.
