Paul Brazile

Paul Brazile, 87, of Waco, passed away Monday, February 2, 2009 at his residence.

In keeping with Paul's wishes, private family graveside services will be held Thursday at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd.

Paul was born September 17, 1921 in Pontatoc, Mississippi to Alton Ernest Brazile and Marzee Wilburn Brazile.

Paul was a professional musician who played with many professional well known artists in the industry. He was very proud of his son Jimmy Griffin who was the co-founder and band member of the famous "70's" band Bread. He was retired from Hunts Food Company in Memphis, TN where he worked for 27 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and sons, Jimmy Griffin and Don Brazile.

Paul is survived by his wife, Lou Brazile; children, Dianne Martinez and husband, Ted of Waco, Paula Brazile of Austin and Dakota Brazile of Oregon; 10 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and his special canine son, BJ.
