Paul Forris Caudle, 52, lost his battle against a rare disease on Monday, July 16, 2012.
Mass will be 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Louis Catholic Church by Father Justin Nguyen. Burial with military honors will be at Oakwood Cemetery. A rosary led by Deacon Jeff Heiple will be recited at 7 p.m. Friday at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Boulevard.
Paul was born in Fort Stockton to Ray Caudle and Nellie Forguson on June 26, 1960. He graduated from Strawn High School in 1978. He then joined the U.S. Marine Corps. Paul was a driver for Saia Motor Freight Co. for the past five years, and recently transferred to San Antonio. Before this, he was a Deputy Sheriff for the McLennan County Sheriff’s Office from 1990 to 1997. Paul loved his family and he loved his country. Paul’s favorite pastimes were spending time watching NASCAR, 6-man football, watching movies, and fishing with his wife, Linda. Paul was a loving husband, son, father, and brother.
Paul is survived by his wife, Linda Hurtado; sons, Troy Caudle and wife, Addie and grandson, Jeffery Caudle of Strawn, Lance Caudle and fiancée Maggie Carroll of San Marcos, Tyler Caudle, Andrew Hurtado and wife, Lyndsey of Waco, and Daniel Hurtado for Waco. Paul was also survived by two daughters, Marcie Rierson and husband, Jonathan of Waco and Selina Hurtado of Waco. Paul is also survived by his parents, Ray Caudle, Sr. of Venus, and Nellie Forguson of Arlington, brothers; Robert Caudle and wife, Brenda of Grand Prairie, Ray Edward Jr. Caudle and wife, Melony of Venus, and sisters, Patricia Finley and husband Wayne of Mansfield, and Rita Shirley and husband Gary of Strawn. Paul is survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and cousins.
Pallbearers are Lance Caudle, Troy Caudle, Robert Caudle, Ray Edward Caudle, Jr., Johnny Caudle and Casey Moore. Honorary pallbearers will be his brothers-in-law, James Cooke, Wayne Finley, and Gary Shirley.
