A memorial video honoring his life will be shown during the visitation.
Paul was born Feb. 7, 1948 to Hilda and Francis Coss of Waco. Paul was a fun kid to be around growing up. He made lots of friends in school and enjoyed playing baseball. He attended Richfield High School and graduated in 1966. He worked as a surveyor for several years and then worked in area convenience stores such as 7-11 and Cefco.
Paul retired with a disability in 2004. He cared for our mother until her death in July 2006. He continued to live in the same house we grew up in with his little poodle Muffin who he loved so much. Paul had many friends but a few were very close and meant a lot to him. His dear friend Gary came and picked him up and would take him out to eat often. The former Chaplain of Providence Hospital, Father Patrick Adejoh, would come over to Paul's house and they would enjoy relaxing while watching TV or eating out. The friendship of these men meant so much to Paul. They took time out of their busy day to go by or call him and make sure he was doing ok.
Paul was blessed to have wonderful neighbors all around him, including Calvin, Josh, Billie and David. They did not hesitate to help out when needed. Paul had a dear friend he stayed in touch with in Elm Mott, Willie Clark Teasley. Paul called her everyday to see how she was and just visit. Paul was a volunteer at Providence Hospital for many years, and a faithful member of St. Louis Catholic Church.
Paul didn't have a degree or a high paying job and most people would say he didn't accomplish much but God used him in another way. He had a kind, sensitive heart and blessed those who knew him and was richly blessed in return. He was diagnosed with diabetes in 1991, it was a difficult disease for him to manage but he did well with it. Now he is healed in every way and for that I'm grateful.
Paul is survived by a niece, Kelly Mayo Endsley and her husband Micah of Pittsburgh Pa.; a sister, Judy Schroeder and her husband William of Speegleville; an aunt, Helen Daniher, and an uncle, Edward Coss both of New Jersey and several cousins, and his little poodle Muffin.
