Paul Wayne Niswanger, 75, of Waco, passed away October 24, 2009. Memorial services will be 5 p.m., November 7, 2009 at the OakCrest Funeral Home Chapel, 4520 Bosque Blvd.
Paul Wayne, a loving father and grandfather, had a twenty year professional music career. He worked with artists such as Marty Robbins, Tommy Duncan, Bob Wills, Little Jimmy Dickens, Billy Walker, Lefty Frizell, the Miller Brothers, Hank Locklin, Don Gibson, George Jones, Tex Ritter, Johnny Gimble and countless others, as well as having his own band, known as Paul Wayne and the Country All Stars. He was also an electronic technician, and in later years, he owned and operated A-1 TV Service.
Mr. Niswanger was preceded in death by his parents, Avery Aaron Niswanger and Laura Louise Goodnight; the mother of his children, Jackie; his sister Dorothy Smith, and nephew Robert Lynn Harrison.
He is survived by three children, son, Terry Wayne Niswanger and wife, Tina, of China Spring; daughters, Carole Hailey of Fort Worth, Janie Gardner of Temple, son-in-law Don Gardner of Moody; seven grandchildren, Jason Niswanger, Jackie Niswanger, Paul Niswanger, Candice Aubuchon and husband, Kevin, Courtney Hailey, Whitney Gardner, and Austin Gardner; two great-grandchildren, Kathryn Aubuchon and Jennifer Aubuchon; two sisters, Anne Roberts and husband, Bobby Don of China Spring, Ellen Riggins of Vernon; nephews Steve Roberts and wife, Melissa, of China Spring, Tim Roberts and wife, Shari, of Lacy Lakeview, Mike Harrison and wife, Jeri, of Garland and Jimmy Riggins of Vernon.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to Concord Cemetery Association, 1009 Bosque Ridge, Crawford, Tx 76638.
