Mr. Paul D. Rainer, 71, of Waco, died Tuesday, October 8, 2002 at his home. Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at OakCrest Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Jimmy Dorrell and Rev. Mark Wible officiating.
Burial will be in Waco Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2002, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd.
Mr. Rainer was born on August 18, 1931 in Groesbeck, Texas to Gustavis and Callie (Murray) Rainer, and was a lifetime resident of Waco. He was united in marriage to Mary LaLois Koepf on July 30, 1949 in Marlin.
Mr. Rainer was employed by Brazos Electric Power Cooperative as a print shop foreman, and was a member of the Highland Baptist Church in Waco.
He is survived by his wife, Mary LaLois Rainer; three sons, Ronald W. Rainer and his wife Donna of Austin, Earnest L. Rainer and his wife Patricia of Midlothian, and Chris Rainer and his wife Deborah of Lorena; a grandson, Paul S. Rainer of Austin; two granddaughters, Whitney Rainer of Austin and Hayley Rainer of Lorena; a step-grandson, Lance Whitlock of Mansfield; a great-grandson, Christian Whitlock of Mansfield, and a great-granddaughter, Hannah Whitlock of Mansfield.
Pallbearers will be Darrell Hogan, Eric Walker, Frankie Hogan, Lance Whitlock, Paul Rainer, Craig Carpenter, and Don Ball.
Memorials may be made to Highland Baptist Church or the charity of your choice.
