Pauline was born June 7th, 1924 in Burlington, Texas to James and Cordelia Nolan. She was the 8th of 11 siblings and the youngest girl.
She graduated from Rosebud High School and moved to Washington D.C. for a secretarial position. There she met her future husband, Tom Frank. They were married on Christmas Day, 1943, and eventually settled in Waco, where they lived for over fifty years and raised their five children.
Pauline was active in the Young Matrons Club at St. Mary's Church, and later St. Anne's Circle at St. Louis Church. In 1963, she helped found and acted as moderator for the Waco Catholic Teen Club, a social outlet for teens from all the high schools, both public and private. Pauline and Tom were long-standing members of the Philo Dance Club and they traveled extensively together.
Pauline enjoyed gardening, cooking, reading, playing the organ, and entertaining family and friends at home. At family events, the kitchen was always the gathering place. Local clergy knew that a good meal could always be found at Pauline's table.
Pauline's greatest joy was in her roles as wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her focus was always on her family, including her extended family, encouraging each member and serving as both a sounding board and a role model. She will truly be missed by many.
Pauline was preceded in death by her husband, Tom, six sisters and three brothers.
She is survived by her son, Fr. Tom Frank, Jr. of Austin; son Jim Frank and wife, Vicki of San Antonio; daughter Cathy Collins and husband, Mick of Riesel; daughter Peg Credo and husband, Bruce of Highland Park, IL; and son Paul Frank and wife, Patti of Glenmoore, PA.
