Phillip Carroll Eddins II "Pops", "Ber", "Spanky", joined his Lord, his mother, his "Trey Trey", and his brother James, in heaven on Saturday, March 28th, 2009, after a long struggle with illness.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, March 30 at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd. A family graveside service will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Oakwood Cemetery with Chaplain Curtis Holland officiating.
He was born August 16, 1961 in San Antonio to Phillip and "T" Eddins. He graduated from Richfield High School in 1979. He then worked for years at various mobile home factories in Central Texas. He married Kimberly Windham on March 29, 1982. They had 3 children, Phillip Eddins III, Chance Eddins, and Heather Eddins. He then was blessed with 5 grandchildren who gave him the strength to continue his battle with his illness. No matter what came his way in pain and suffering his family came first and himself last.
Sunday, the 29th of March, would have been his 27th anniversary with the love of his life, Kim. He will be greatly missed, but he will always be remembered as someone that did it "his way". He never met a stranger in his life and wherever he was there were always lots of people that wanted to be around him. We know now that he is at peace and is no longer in pain.
He was preceded in death by his mother, "T" Eddins; son Phillip Carroll Eddins III; and his brother, James Eddins.
He is survived by his wife, Kim Eddins; father, Phillip Eddins Sr.; sister, Phylis McFall and husband, Tim; son, Chance Eddins and wife, Carmen; daughter, Heather Foust; daughter –in – law, Kassie Eddins; grandchildren Alyssa Foust, Tylor Eddins, Emily Foust, Phillip Eddins IV and Aubree Eddins; niece Amber Gustafson; and nephews, Beau Moss, James Eddins II, and Christopher Eddins.
