Phillip Carroll Eddins Sr. (Paw Paw), 74, of Waco, passed away Monday, April 19, 2010 at home surrounded by his family. A graveside service with Masonic Rites and full Military honors will be held at Oakwood Cemetery, Friday, April 23, at 9:30 a.m. Family and Friends may gather at the family residence after the services to remember his life.
Phillip was born in Des Arc, Arkansas February 1, 1936 to Phillip and Gertrude Eddins. He retired from the United States Air Force after 20 years of service. He married the love of his life Teloiv "T" Marrs in 1958. After retirement, he and his wife owned "The Lady Bug Patch Studio" until his second retirement. He was an endowed member of the Des Arc, Arkansas Masonic Lodge as well as endowed member of the Waco Masonic Lodge #92, where he served as a Worshipful Master in 1989. He was also a member of the Shriners.
He was proceeded in death by his wife, Teliov "T"; his sons, Phillip Eddins II and James Eddins; and grandson, Phillip Eddins III.
Phillip is survived by his daughter; Phylis McFall and husband, Tim McFall; grandsons, Chance Eddins and Beau Moss; granddaughters, Amber Gustafson and Heather Eddins; 8 great-grandchildren; sisters, Agnes Eddins Bunch, Delores Tulp and husband, Don, Freida Evans and husband, Steve; and brother, Doyle Burnett and wife, Judy.
The family would like to thank the Meadowlands Terrace Assisted Living staff, Blue Bonnet Hospice and Cass Harris for helping make his last days as comfortable as possible.
