OBITUARY

Phyllis Sue DeRosier Hale, 48, of Waco, died Friday night, June 25, 2004, as a result of a tragic automobile accident on Highway 6 near Waco.

Fuenral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 29, 2004, at Highland Baptist Church with the Rev. Barry Camp officiating. Visitation with her family will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque.

Phyllis was born April 7, 1956, in Waco to Henry and Katie (Hall) Hale, and lived here all her life. She was a Master Social Worker for the Texas Department of Corrections in Gatesville.

She also worked part time as a social worker for the Clifton Lutheran Nursing Home. She was a proud and active member of Highland Baptist Church.

As a master social worker, Phyllis dedicated her life unselfishly to helping other people. Her family was very proud that she went back to college and earned her Master's Degree in Social Work. She particularly loved her granddaughter, Emily.

Survivors include her daughter, Trina DeRosier and husband, David, of Waco; a son, Joshua Sikes of Waco; granddaughter, Emily DeRosier of Waco; and longtime friend, Kim Vancleff of Moody.
