R. Hightower

R.J. Hightower, Jr., 79 of Waco passed away on Monday, June 20, 2005 at a local hospital. Graveside side services will be 12 pm on Friday, June 24, 2005 at Waco Memorial Park with Jack Mullins officiating.

He was born on April 26, 1926 in Lubbock to R.J., Sr., and Bertie Mae (Falls) Hightower. R.J. served in the Navy during WWII. He was preceded in death by his wife Anna Belle (Jones) Hightower on May 12, 2003, parents, sisters, Louise Fisher and Esther Connally and brother, Giles W. Hightower.

R.J. is survived by his sons, Richard Hightower and wife Jeannette of Winters, CA; Gregory Hightower of Waco and Mike Julsen and wife Ellen of Waco, a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Wilima Jean Boothe and Velma Hightower Connally.
